Los Lupes at the Irving mall is now open!
This was a much anticipated event by customers, and friends as well as employees! Many comments started like this… Man this place is big! Wow, look… it has two bars! Five separate dining areas! …And a patio Too! Look at all the TV’s! A great place to watch our favorite sports!.
The décor is outstanding and the murals compliment the atmosphere and provide a life of their own! We went from a Good place to a Great place! It was worth the wait!
A Mariachi band was playing and friends and families were eating and having fun! An atmosphere and a sense of “ownership, belonging and pride” from the guest, the employees, and the owners was present in the air!
The Buffalo trophy in the main dining room took me back to the spirit of the last frontier and the settler’s wagons trail travelling to a new start and to a new home! The Buffalo represents endurance, power, determination and freedom a true American symbol! We propose to call him (“Wally”) The Buffalo, what do you think?
We couldn’t help to associate the end of a great journey that everybody had embarked on a couple of years ago when we announced the closing of Los Lupes on #183 due to the freeway expansion! Right, there and then, the journey to find a new home begun (Just like the old settlers set out to do!) The odds were not good, the economy was in shambles, but everybody was optimistic! As the search continued, from an operator’s point of view, it gave us a tremendous sense of pride and confidence when people asked: -Are you going to stay in Irving? -Where are you moving to? -When will you let us know? And so on, the support we received was beyond our expectations, we welcomed it, we cherish it and we are grateful!
The American pioneer spirit wea are please to say; is alive and well, and it is still evoking the courage, struggle for self-determination of America’s spirit, and the possibilities to realize your dreams, you must let the audacity of hope be a beacon to those who seek to achieve a goal. The thrill of victory; though difficult is not impossible, especially during an age when major government and private industries were failing. We were reminded how important it is to be innovative have a vision and remain focused! The hardships that were conquered were possible because of your support!
On this day; We saw the wagon train come to an end… to its final destination, the Irving Mall!
Clearly, we discovered how the settlers must of felt, over a long and difficult journey from long ago! All we had to do was to look around… everybody had that look of “coming together in harmony” all in one place! Los Lupes success is a tribute to: family values, unlimited innovation, high expectations and the same commitment to quality, as when it first started 38 years ago!
A lesson taught, a lesson learned, a lesson to remember!
Thank you Los Lupes, Thanks to all our friends!
Comments and suggestions are welcome!
