Fiesta Cinco de Mayo !!!

April is gone, the season of lent was a great event spiritually and religiously, the specials were a success and everybody is happy! Now, Circle your calendar for the first week in May; Los Lupes restaurants will be the place to be, new specials and lots of fun is the order of the day!

The Fiesta Cinco de Mayo - The Pacquiao-Mosley fight and Mother's day on the same week in May is just too much of a good thing to go unnoticed! Add the grand opening of the patio at the Los Lupes at the Irving mall; man we are definitely going to have a party everywhere and on the patio too (Just like ZZ Top!)

Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the "Batalla de Puebla victory" (The Puebla victory battle). This battle is to the Mexicans what the battle in Gettysburg is to the Americans! This battle turned the tide in favor of the Mexicans and it was a triumph to the Mexican fighting spirit; it was this kind of valor that inspired to repel the invading French army from Puebla! A new National identity was born on that day, even though the Mexican Army was much less trained and had inferior weapons, against a much better equipped and better trained foe! A battle like that re-invigorates the cause you believe in and what you are fighting for! Many Mexican died in that battle on that day and, "it hasn't been forgotten why they died there"

 Every Cinco de Mayo is a revival!

The same could be said of Pacquiao from the Philippines; he is the Best boxer/fighter this century has produced; he fights for his Countryman as a Senator when he is not on the ring, and a huge part of the proceeds from his winnings go to help the poor, he also helps build schools and hospitals for all the people in his homeland! How can you not put him amongst the greatest fighters and leaders? And you can see him perform live May 7 at 8:00 Pm at Los Lupes Restaurants in Addison and at the Irving Mall! 
Come to Los Lupes; let's break bread with our ancestors of those great battles, while we watch another great battle on T.V. with great company and mucho gusto!
